About NextLiftoff
NextLiftoff answers one question fast: when is the next rocket launch, and where can I watch it? Every time is shown in your own time zone, with a countdown, the live stream and a reminder when you want one.
What you'll find here
- Upcoming launches from every launch provider in the world, with live streams, weather at the pad and whether you can see the rocket from where you are.
- Reminders by push notification that move with the launch when it slips, and a calendar you can subscribe to.
- A 3D globe with approximate ascent paths, booster landings and the space stations in orbit.
- Every orbital launch since Sputnik in 1957, statistics, reusable boosters and ISS passes over your city.
Where the data comes from
Launch times, missions and streams come from Launch Library 2 by The Space Devs, a community that tracks launches around the clock. Orbits come from CelesTrak, weather forecasts from MET Norway and headlines from the Spaceflight News API. Photos are public domain, mostly by NASA photographers. Everything is listed on the credits page.
Launch dates slip all the time: weather, technical checks, a boat in the range. We refresh the schedule every few minutes, and more often close to liftoff, but the provider's own announcement always wins.
